Incorporated in 1989, MAPFRE Asistencia operates as the assistance services unit within the MAPFRE Group.
It operates in 52 countries and has a direct presence in 37 countries with a portfolio of 42 million
insured and offers coverage to 95 million people worldwide.
MAPFRE Asistencia has been awarded the A+ (Superior) rating by A.M. Best in 2003 and the A1 rating by
Moody's in recognition of its financial strength, management quality, strong capitalism and international
expansion. MAPFRE Asistencia has developed proprietary software, procedures and expertise in the field
of assistance services, and it has comprehensive experience in developing worldwide provider networks and
Response Centers to service international roadside and assistance programs for insurance companies,
