Community InvolvementRoad America likes to stay active in our respective communities of Miami, Florida and Columbus, Georgia conducting drives for the local charities and actively volunteering at events throughout the year. 2006 – Road America contributed 300 Frisbees to the Evening with Santa in Columbus, Georgia. This event is sponsored by the Columbus Employer Committee teaming with the Department of Labor’s Columbus Career Center and Cascade Hills Church to throw a Christmas party for 300 of the area’s foster and disadvantaged children between the ages of 2 and 10. Many of the Road America employees also donated their time “elfing” at the event and wrapping gifts. 2007 – Road America hosted a luncheon at our Response Center in Columbus, Georgia for 13 Russian Human Resource Management delegates as part of our involvement with the Society of Human Resource Management organization. Judith Giddings, Human Resources Manager at our Columbus, Georgia location, is a very active volunteer leader in her community. She serves on the following:
Katrina Dittmar, International Account Manager at Road America/Federal Assist is a volunteer leader with Hands On Miami and does three life-skill projects a month at Regis House, an organization that helps teens that have been arrested and serve in a court-appointed after-school diversion program. Katrina received the Presidential Volunteer Bronze Service Award and the Handprint Service Award, Hands On Miami in 2007. |
